I know it’s been way too long (as of today I’ve been in Disney for one month!), but I swear I have a good reason for my lack of Tumblr posts!
I blame my roommates… they are awesome!!
I am living in a two bedroom apartment in Chatham Square. The kitchen is about the same as last year, except there is a lot more storage space. We have a large utility closet as well as a pantry. It makes storing food so much easier! Though the fridge and freezer are a little more crowed we still are able to make do.
My bedroom roommate is Dana (I know! What are the odds she had that name of all the names in the world?!) and she is from Scottville, Michigan. She is basically on the same longitude as Barrie, which means I’m not her “neighbour to the north” but just her neighbour :) Dana works in custodial in the Magic Kingdom.
My two other roommates are Heather from Gore, Virginia and Alia from right here in Florida (soon to be from New York). Heather works full service food and beverage at The Luau at The Polynesian and Alia works quick service food and beverage at Casey’s Corner in the Magic Kingdom. These girls are great! Some of you may remember that my biggest fear coming down here again was that I wouldn’t get along with my roommates. I am so beyond happy that these girls are so awesome <3 And that is the reason I haven’t taken the time to work on this blog.
Making new friends isn’t easy for me. So the first few weeks I forced myself out of my comfort zone (sitting in my room typing this up) and out into the living room to get to know these girls I would be spending the next three months with. Thankfully, this worked out wonderfully! Unfortunately, it also meant I had less time to type.
In addition, I’ve been having a much different program than last year. It feels like the nine months between my programs didn’t really happen. So I’ve skipped over the blind excitement of the first month where every second has to be spent in a park. Don’t get me wrong, I still bounce around like a six year old every time I’m in the parks!! But it means I’m also OK with just hanging out with my roommates and having fun at home. It also means I’ve been going to the parks for shorter periods of time, just doing a few attractions at a time. It has been much more relaxing, but much less exciting to blog about :P
I am currently writing up little stories about the adventures I’ve gotten up to so I will hopefully have more for you soon. In the mean time, know that I am alive and well and that I miss you all <3
